Sonoma County is regarded as the global leader in sustainable winegrowing. At the forefront of this achievement is Duff Bevill, a Sonoma County grape grower, vineyard manager and past Board Commissioner and Chairman of the Sonoma County Winegrowers. Duff is fondly considered the “godfather” of the Sonoma County Winegrowers sustainability movement and his insights and leadership were instrumental in motivating the county’s grape growers to pursue sustainability certification and achieve 99% vineyard sustainability in the fall of 2019. He is a strategic thinker, an environmental steward and deeply rooted in the local community. I can’t imagine Sonoma County viticulture without the wisdom, vision and caretaking of Duff Bevill.
